SELL A COLLECTION

A practical way to sell the collection—not a second job listing every piece.

Rad Wares considers complete collections, meaningful portions, long-term accumulations, dealer stock, and significant individual objects. Begin with photographs; we travel when the opportunity warrants it.

DIRECT COLLECTION PURCHASING

Built for collections with depth, history, or complexity.

A collection assembled over years can be difficult to reduce to a neat list. It may span categories, contain pieces you cannot identify, or fill rooms rather than boxes.

Our breadth is useful in exactly those situations. Rad Wares is not limited to one collecting specialty, and mixed material does not need to be divided among several buyers before you make contact.

Collection opportunities we may consider

  • Complete or partial personal collections
  • Long-held accumulations assembled over many years
  • Mixed, unsorted, or difficult-to-identify material
  • Collections containing many individually meaningful pieces
  • Dealer stock, former store inventory, and selected closeouts
  • Large quantities where individual selling is impractical
  • Unusual individual objects deserving specialized research

You do not need to determine whether the collection qualifies before reaching out. Send us a few photographs if older, unusual, collectible, specialized, or unidentified material may be present. Not every inquiry will result in an offer or visit, but we can make that assessment after seeing the overall picture.

Direct purchase—not consignment

Rad Wares purchases material directly. There is no obligation to accept an offer. When a transaction is agreed upon, payment may be made by cash, Venmo, or check as appropriate.

BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING TO IT

Don’t accidentally erase value while trying to help.

When you are unsure what you have, contact us before you:

Clean or polish

Original finishes, labels, patina, and even old dust can matter. Some cleaning methods permanently reduce value.

Repair or restore

Well-meant repairs can be irreversible. Keep loose and broken pieces together, but wait before gluing or refinishing.

Separate or discard

Boxes, paperwork, accessories, and unfamiliar fragments may complete a set or help identify an object.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

Simple enough to begin from a basement, attic, or collection room.

01

Send broad photographs

A few room, shelf, cabinet, box, or table views tell more than dozens of close-ups.

02

We review the material

We may ask about quantity, location, history, or for a few more targeted photographs.

03

Arrange a visit when appropriate

Photographs help determine whether travel makes practical sense for both sides.

04

Consider a direct offer

There is no obligation. If you agree, payment and pickup are arranged directly.

THE EASY FIRST STEP

A few wide photographs can start the conversation.

You do not need to identify, organize, clean, or price everything first.
